Master Your Balance And Strength!
This pose is perfect when you’re looking to build core strength and just starting the practice.
The Sanskrit name for this pose is Astavakrasana, from the ancient sage Astavakra. The legend says, he was cursed by his father while in the womb, and as a result his body was crooked in eight places. The sage did not let his physical imperfection hold him back. Astavakra said, “If one thinks of oneself as free, one is free, and if one thinks of oneself as bound, one is bound.”
